COVID-19 Nagaland: No fresh case reported


Kohima, February 19: Nagaland once again reported nil positive cases keeping the tally at 12,191 while 9 patients recuperated bringing down the active cases to 20, a health official said.

“No +ve case of #COVID-19 reported today. 9 +ve patients have recovered in Kohima,” said Minister for Health, S Pangnyu Phom in a tweet.
A total of 11,928 patients have recuperated from the infection, improving the recovery rate in the State to all time high of 97.84% from Thursday’s 97.77%, said Director of Health & Family Welfare, Dr Denis Hangsing in the daily COVID-19 bulletin.
The death toll in the State is 91, including 10 with comorbid conditions, he said, while 152 patients have migrated to other states.
The district wise active cases are Kohima (18) and Dimapur (2).
Among the active cases, a patient in Dimapur is with mild symptoms while 19 persons are asymptomatic, he said.
23977 doses of Covishield vaccine administered
Altogether 23977 doses of Covishield vaccine have been administered as of today across Nagaland and no adverse events needing medical intervention has been reported.
According to State Immunization Officer, Dr Ritu Thurr, 8409 health care workers have received the first dose with a coverage of 39% and 12149 frontline workers have received the first dose with a coverage of 23% till day, while 3419 healthcare workers have completed the full course of vaccination and have been provided Vaccination Certificates.
Meanwhile, the last date for healthcare workers vaccination is February 20, which would be followed by mop up sessions till February 25.
