Kohima, April 6: Nagaland did not report any new case of COVID-19 on Tuesday, keeping the tally of confirmed cases at 12,365, said a Health official.
“No positive case of COVID-19 reported today. 2 positive patients of COVID-19 have recovered in Dimapur,” said Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom in a tweet.
The caseload includes 11,982 recovered persons and 134 active patients, he said.
The recovery rate is 96.9 percent, informed Director of Health Department, Dr Denis Hangsing in the daily COVID-19 bulletin.
So far 91 persons, including 10 with co-morbidities, have succumbed to the infection while a total of 158 patients have migrated to other States, he said.
All the active cases — 123 in Kohima, 9 in Dimapur and 2 in Tuensang district — are asymptomatic, he said.
Meanwhile, Nagaland had administered 93,707 doses of COVID-19 vaccines to 68,126 persons as of April 5, said State Immunization Officer Dr Ritu Thurr.
Out of the persons to receive the vaccine in the State 38,286 are frontline workers, 12,231 healthcare professionals, 12,433 senior citizens and 5,176 people above 45 years with specified co-morbidities, he said.
A total of 8,490 healthcare workers, 16,597 frontline workers, 306 senior citizens and 188 persons above 45 years with co-morbidities have received the second shot of COVID-19 vaccine completing the full course of vaccination, he said.
Among those inoculated, no one has had any adverse effect needing medical interventions in the state till date, Dr Thurr said. (Page News Service)
