COVID-19 Nagaland: Nil fresh case brings down active cases to 9


Kohima, February 26: Nagaland on Friday reported nil detection of fresh cases keeping the COVID-19 caseload at 12,198 while recovery of 4 patients has brought down the active cases to 9, a health official said.

“No +ve case of #COVID-19 reported today. 4 +ve patients of COVID-19 have recovered. Kohima- 3, Dimapur- 1,” said Minister for Health, S Pangnyu Phom in a tweet.
Of the caseload, 11,946 patients have recovered, he said.
The recovery rate in the State has come down to 97.93%, which is lower than all time high 97.94% on Wednesday, said Director of Health & Family Welfare, Dr Denis Hangsing in the daily COVID-19 bulletin.
The death toll in the State is 91, of which 10 had comorbid conditions while another 152 have migrated to other states, he said.
Nagaland has so far tested a total of 1,29,926 suspected COVID-19 samples, including 74,710 on RT-PCR, 37,344 on TrueNat and 17,872 on Rapid Antigen Test, he said.
29,765 persons receive COVID-19 vaccine
Nagaland administered 35,262 doses of COVISHIELD vaccine to 29,765 persons including 19,606 frontline workers and 10,159 healthcare professionals.
Among the healthcare professionals, 5,497 have received the second shots of COVID-19 vaccine completing the full course of vaccination and have received the vaccination certificate, said State Immunization Officer, Dr Ritu Thurr.
No adverse events needing medical intervention have been reported after the beneficiaries received the vaccine, he said.

Dr Thurr also informed that the last date of first dose vaccination of frontline workers is March 1, 2020 followed by mob sessions till March 6, 2020. (Page News Service)
