COVID-19 Nagaland: All time high recovery rate at 96.4%


KOHIMA, DECEMBER 30: Nagaland on Wednesday reported more COVID-19 recoveries than detection of fresh infection keeping the active cases at 218 out of the total 11,921 confirmed cases, said a health official.

“4 +ve cases of #COVID-19 have been detected today. Dimapur – 3, Mokokchung – 1. Also 29 +ve patients have recovered. Dimapur – 16, Kohima and Peren – 5 each and Mon – 3,” said Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom in a tweet.
The caseload includes 11,493 recovered persons, he said.
With this Nagaland’s recovery rate improved to all time high at 96.4% from 96.19%, which had been unchanged for two consecutive days till Tuesday, said Director of Health and Family Welfare Department Dr Denis Hangsing in the daily COVID-19 bulletin.
The death toll in the State is 79, out of which 10 had co-morbid conditions, he said, adding that altogether 131 patients have migrated to other states.
The district-wise distribution of confirmed cases is Dimapur (6,397), Kohima (3,710), Mon (603), Peren (502), Tuensang (244), Mokokchung (178), Zunheboto (142), Phek (47), Kiphire (41), Wokha (39) and Longleng (18).
Out of the confirmed cases, 4,865 are Traced Contacts, 4,654 are armed forces personnel, 1,836 returnees from other States and 566 frontline workers, he said.
The district-wise active cases are Dimapur (83), Kohima (77), Mokokchung (46), Kiphire (6), Peren (3) and Phek (3).
Among the active cases, 18 patients are with mild and moderate symptoms, 1 is severe on oxygen and 4 are on ventilator, he said.
Altogether 195 persons are asymptomatic, he said.
The recovered persons are Dimapur (6,191), Kohima (3,584), Mon (592), Peren (498), Tuensang (243), Zunheboto (139), Mokokchung (124), Phek (44), Wokha (35), Kiphire (34) and Longleng (9).
So far, a total of 1,20,071 suspected COVID-19 samples have been tested in Nagaland, including 72,393 through RT-PCR, 36,714 on TrueNat and 10,964 on Rapid Antigen Test, Dr Hangsing said.
