COVID-19 Nagaland: Active cases reduced to 7

KOHIMA, MARCH 17: Nagaland did not report any new COVID-19 case for the fourth consecutive day, keeping the tally at 12,225, a health official said.

“No positive case reported today. 7 positive patients have recovered in Kohima,” said Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom in a tweet. The caseload includes 11,973 recovered persons and 7 active patients, he informed.
Recovery of 7 patients has brought down the active cases to single digit at 7, Phom said.
Of active cases, 6 in Kohima district are asymptomatic while one in Mokokchung is with mild symptoms, said Director of Health & Family Welfare, Dr Denis Hangsing in the daily COVID-19 update.
49,207 persons vaccinated
Nagaland has administered a total of 63,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines to 49,207 persons as of Wednesday, a Health official said.
Out of the total number of persons inoculated in the State, 31,516 are frontline workers, 11,435 are healthcare professionals, 5,194 senior citizens and 1,062 people above 45 years with specified co-morbidities, said State Immunization Officer Dr Ritu Thurr.
A total of 6,887 healthcare workers and 6,906 frontline workers have received the second shot of COVID-19 vaccine completing the full course of vaccination, he said.
Among those inoculated, no one has had any adverse effect needing medical interventions in the state till date, Dr Thurr said.
