COVID-19 Nagaland: 94 fresh infections take tally to 11,602

KOHIMA, DECEMBER 10: Nagaland on Thursday detected 94 fresh COVID-19 infections increasing the confirmed cases in Nagaland to 11,602, said state health officials.


“94+ve cases of # COVID-19 have been detected today. Kohima – 67, Dimapur – 22, Kiphire – 3, Wokha and Peren – 1 each. Also, 18+ve patients have recovered. Kohima – 11, Dimapur – 7,” Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom said in a tweet.
The case load includes 10,746 recovered and 663 active patients, said Dr Denis Hangsing in the daily COVID-19 bulletin.
The recovery rate in the State has come down to 92.62% from Wednesday’s 93.22%, he said.
Demise of a COVID-19 infected patient at Dimapur has increased the death toll to 71, of which 61 are due to contagion, 7 had co-morbidities and deaths of 3 patients is under investigation, he said.
Altogether 122 patients have migrated to other states, he said.
The district-wise distribution of confirmed cases are Dimapur (6,309), Kohima (3,576), Mon 600, Peren (481), Tuensang (238), Zunheboto (142), Mokokchung (123), Phek (44), Wokha (39), Kiphire (32) and Longleng (18).
Out of the confirmed cases, the segregated data comprises 4,618 armed forces personnel, 4,616 Traced Contacts, 1,812 returnees from other States and 556 frontline workers, he said.
The district-wise active cases are Kohima (385), Dimapur (185), Tuensang (42), Mon (24), Peren (9), Wokha (7), Kiphire (7), Mokokchung (2) and Zunheboto (2).
Among the active, 35 patients are with mild and moderate symptoms, 1 is severe on oxygen and 6 are critical in ICU, he said. Altogether 621 persons are asymptomatic, he said.
The recovered persons are Dimapur (6,007), Kohima (3,149), Mon (565), Peren (472), Tuensang (195), Zunheboto (137), Mokokchung (116), Phek (44), Wokha (28), Kiphire (24) and Longleng (9).
So far, a total of 1,16,033 suspected COVID-19 samples has been tested in Nagaland, including 70,754 through RT-PCR, 36,237 on TrueNat and 9,042 on Rapid Antigen Test, Dr Hangsing said.
