KOHIMA, JULY 23: Detection of 92 fresh COVID-19 infections today has increased Nagaland’s caseload to 27,116.
“92 positive cases detected today are Kohima: 33, Dimapur: 24, Mokokchung: 12, Mon: 8, Wokha: 5, Kiphire: 4, Tuensang: 3, Phek: 2 and Peren: 1”, said State Nodal Officer for Integrated Disease Surveillance Project, Dr Nyanthung Kikon in the daily COVID-19 bulletin.
He also said that 77 positive patients ~ Kohima: 24, Dimapur: 20, Zunheboto: 8, Mon: 7, Longleng: 6, Mokokchung: 5, Wokha: 4, Peren: 2 and Tuensang: 1 ~ recovered during the day.
With this the caseload includes 24,571 with recovery rate in the State coming to 90.61%.
There are 1,251 active patients, of which, 216 are with mild symptoms, 31 are moderate on oxygen, 17 severe on oxygen, 8 critical in ICU without ventilator, and 10 on ventilator, while 969 patients are asymptomatic, he said.
Demise of a positive patient in Dimapur district has increased the death toll in the State to 537, of which 14 died due to other diseases, he said.
Altogether 757 COVID-19 patients have migrated to other States, he said.
So far, a total of 2,52,809 suspected COVID-19 samples have been tested in Nagaland. It includes 1,01,403 on RT-PCR, 66,209 on TrueNat, and 85,197 on Rapid Antigen Test, Dr Kikon said.
A total of 7,20,849 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to 5,87,110 persons as on Thursday, said State Immunization Officer Dr Ritu Thurr.
Out of the total doses administered in the State, 60,641 are frontline workers, 15,951 are healthcare professionals, 1,78,906 are people above 45 years and 3,31,612 in the 18 to 44 years age group, he said.
A total of 1,339,739 beneficiaries have received the second dose of the vaccine completing the full course of vaccination. They comprise 37,164 frontline workers, 12,053 healthcare workers, 84,263 people above 45 years and 259 in the 18 to 44 years age group, said Dr Thurr.
