COVID-19 Nagaland: 9 recoveries keep active patients at 73

KOHIMA, FEBRUARY 13: Nagaland today reported more recoveries from COVID-19 than fresh cases as 9 patients recuperated while 6 new infections pushed the tally to 12,189, said a Health official.
The active cases reduced from 76 to 73.


“6 positive cases of COVID-19 have been detected today in Kohima. Also, 9 positive patients have recovered in Kohima,” said Minister for Health, S Pangnyu Phom in a tweet.
The caseload includes 11,877 recovered persons, he said.
The fatality rate is at 0.72 with 88 deaths,, including 10 with co-morbid conditions, said Director of Health and Family Welfare, Dr Denis Hangsing in the daily COVID-19 bulletin. Altogether 151 patients have migrated to other states, he said.
Nagaland’s COVID-19 recovery rate is at 97.44%, he added.
Out of the confirmed cases, 5,071 are traced contacts, 4,674 armed forces personnel, 1,871 returnees from other States and 573 frontline workers.
Among the active cases, 1 patient each is with mild and moderate symptoms while 71 persons are asymptomatic, he said.
Meanwhile, 123 healthcare workers from NHAK and District Hospital Tuensang received their second dose of COVID-19 vaccine on Sunday. A press release from Health department informed that 96% turnout was registered and no adverse events reported.
Till date, 11,601 persons have been administered with the vaccine doses in 11 districts, it informed. (Page News Service)
