KOHIMA, FEBRUARY 7: Nagaland on Monday reported 71 fresh infections, recovery of 73 patients and 3 deaths as the tally surged to 34,927.
The fresh infections include Kohima: 38, Dimapur: 23, Wokha: 2 and Mon and Tuensang: 1 each.
The recovered persons tally is 32,041 with recovery rate at 91.73%.
The recovered persons for the day are: Dimapur: 51, Kohima: 18, Mokokchung: 3 and Peren: Mon: 1.
There are 691 active patients in the State, of who 148 have mild and moderate symptoms and 10 are severe while 533 patients are asymptomatic.
With the demise of 3 patients – 2 in Kohima and 1 in Dimapur districts, the death toll in the State increased to 746.
Altogether 1,449 COVID-19 patients have migrated to other States.
Thus far, a total of 4,47,445 suspected COVID-19 samples have been tested in Nagaland. It includes 1,15,431 on RT-PCR, 94,337 on TrueNat and 2,37,677 on Rapid Antigen Test.
Meanwhile, the Health Department official informed that 49,889 teenagers in the 15 to 18 age bracket were administered with COVID-19 vaccine till January February 6.
Further, a total of 14,19,164 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to 8,03,300 persons during the same period, said State Immunization Officer Dr RituThurr.
Out of the total doses administered in the State, 61,034 are frontline workers, 16,016 are healthcare workers, 2,19,102 are people above 45 years and 5,07,148 in the 18 to 44 years age group, he said.
A total of 6,15,864 beneficiaries have received the second dose of the vaccine completing the full course of vaccination. They comprise 48,845 frontline workers, 13,602 healthcare workers, 1,85,159 people above 45 years and 3,68,258 in the 18 to 44 years age group, said Dr Thurr.
Further, 15,241 people, including 2,735 health care workers, 11,116 frontline workers and 1,390 above 60 years of age with co-morbid conditions, have also been administered with the precautionary dose, he said.
