KOHIMA, AUGUST 9: Nagaland detected 81 fresh infections increasing the COVID-19 tally to 28,709 today.
“81 positive cases detected today are Dimapur & Mokokchung: 17, Zunheboto: 13, Kohima & Tuensang: 11 each, Peren: 7, Wokha: 4 and Wokha: 1”, said State Nodal Officer for Integrated Disease Surveillance Project, Dr Nyanthung Kikon in the daily COVID-19 bulletin.
He also said that 60 positive patients ~ Kohima: 33, Dimapur: 14, Mokokchung: 9 and Peren: 4 ~ recovered during the day increasing the number of recovered persons to 25,906 persons.
The recovery rate in the State stands at 90.23%.
There are 1,397 active patients, of which, 207 are with mild symptoms, 23 are moderate on oxygen, 15 severe on oxygen, 6 critical in ICU without a ventilator, and 10 on ventilator, while 1,136 patients are asymptomatic, he said.
With no fresh fatality, the death toll in the State is 585, of which 14 patients had co-morbid conditions, he said.
Altogether 821 COVID-19 patients have migrated to other States, he said.
So far, a total of 278,628 suspected COVID-19 samples have been tested in Nagaland. It includes 104,193 on RT-PCR, 70,065 on TrueNat, and 104,370 on Rapid Antigen Test, said Dr Kikon.
As on Sunday, Nagaland administered a total of 788,602 doses of COVID-19 vaccines to 630,407 persons, said State Immunization Officer Dr Ritu Thurr.
Out of the total doses administered in the State, 60,829 are frontline workers, 15,984 are healthcare professionals, 87,881 are people above 45 years and 365,713 in the 18 to 44 years age group, he said.
A total of 158,195 beneficiaries have received the second dose of the vaccine completing the full course of vaccination. They comprise 41,056 frontline workers, 12,589 healthcare workers, 104,120 people above 45 years and 420 in the 18 to 44 years age group, said Dr Thurr.
