COVID-19 Nagaland: 8 infections & 7 recoveries


KOHIMA, NOVEMBER 23: Nagaland reported 8 fresh cases and 7 recoveries taking the COVID-19 tally to 32,060 on Tuesday.
Positive cases detected include 5 in Dimapur, 2 in Kohima and 1 in Mokokchung districts, said State Nodal Officer for Integrated Disease Surveillance Project, Dr Nyanthung Kikon in the daily COVID-19 bulletin.

At least 7 positive patients ~ Dimapur & Kohima: 3 each and Kiphire: 1 ~ recovered during the last 24 hours taking the recovered persons tally to 30,186 with the recovery rate at 94.12%, he said.
There are 126 active patients, of who 20 have mild symptoms, 3 are moderate and 5 severe while 98 patients are asymptomatic, he said.
With no fatality for the day, the death toll in the State is at 696, of who 16 had co-morbid conditions, he said.
Altogether 1,060 COVID-19 patients have migrated to other States, he said.
Thus far, a total of 4,07,715 suspected COVID-19 samples have been tested in Nagaland. It includes 111,436 on RT-PCR, 88,060 on TrueNat and 2,08,219 on Rapid Antigen Test, he said.
A total of 12,62,395 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to 728,015 persons as on Monday, said State Immunization Officer Dr Ritu Thurr.
Out of the total doses administered in the State, 60,976 are frontline workers, 15,999 are healthcare professionals, 206,396 are people above 45 years and 444,644 in the 18 to 44 years age group, he said.

A total of 534,380 beneficiaries have received the second dose of the vaccine completing the full course of vaccination. They comprise 48,341 frontline workers, 13,484 healthcare workers, 169,851 people above 45 years and 302,694 in the 18 to 44 years age group, said Dr Thurr. (Page News Service)
