COVID-19 Nagaland: 8 infections, 12 recoveries


KOHIMA, NOVEMBER 20: Nagaland today detected 8 fresh infections and 12 recoveries taking the tally of confirmed cases to 32,040.
Positive cases detected today are 6 in Dimapur and 1 each in Kohima and Mokokchung districts, said State Nodal Officer for Integrated Disease Surveillance Project, Dr Nyanthung Kikon in the daily COVID-19 bulletin.

He also said that 12 positive patients ~ Dimapur: 7, Kohima: 3 and Tuensang: 2 ~ recovered during the last 24 hours taking the recovered persons tally to 30,165 with the recovery rate at 94.16%.
There are 127 active patients, of who 15 have mild symptoms, 3 are moderate and 5 severe while 104 patients are asymptomatic, he said.
With no fatality for the third consecutive day, the death toll in the State remained at 695, of who 16 had co-morbid conditions, he said.
Altogether 1,053 COVID-19 patients have migrated to other States, he said.
Thus far, a total of 4,06,000 suspected COVID-19 samples have been tested in Nagaland. It includes 111,375 on RT-PCR, 87,736 on TrueNat and 2,06,889 on Rapid Antigen Test, Dr Kikon said.
A total of 12,50,399 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to 722,393 persons as on Thursday, said State Immunization Officer Dr Ritu Thurr.
Out of the total doses administered in the State, 60,976 are frontline workers, 15,999 are healthcare professionals, 204,761 are people above 45 years and 440,657 in the 18 to 44 years age group, he said.
A total of 528,006 beneficiaries have received the second dose of the vaccine completing the full course of vaccination. They comprise 48,261 frontline workers, 13,469 healthcare workers, 168,344 people above 45 years and 297,932 in the 18 to 44 years age group, said Dr Thurr.
