COVID-19 Nagaland: 78 new cases & 77 recoveries


KOHIMA, JULY 11: Nagaland detected 78 fresh infections increasing the tally of confirmed COVID-19 cases 25,976.
“78 positive cases detected today are Kohima: 40, Dimapur: 11, Kiphire: 7, Mokokchung & Zunheboto: 5 each, Phek & Wokha: 3 each, Longleng: 2, and Mon & Peren: 1 each”, said State Nodal Officer for Integrated Disease Surveillance Project, Dr Nyanthung Kikon in the daily COVID-19 bulletin.

He also said that 77 positive patients ~ Kohima: 47, Mokokchung 13, Dimapur: 12, Phek: 3 and Kiphire: 2 ~ recovered during the day increasing the number of recovered patients to 23,775.
The recovery rate in the State is 91.52%.
The caseload includes 971 active patients, of which, 95 are with mild symptoms, 29 are moderate on oxygen, 19 severe on oxygen, 7 critical in ICU without ventilator, and 11 on a ventilator, while 810 patients are asymptomatic, he said.
With no fatality reported today, the death toll in the State remained at 507 for the second consecutive day. Fourteen deaths are related to other diseases, he said.
Altogether 723 COVID-19 patients have migrated to other States, he said.
So far, a total of 2,38,622 suspected COVID-19 samples have been tested in Nagaland. It includes 99,718 on RT-PCR, 63,817 on TrueNat, and 75,087 on Rapid Antigen Test, Dr Kikon said.
A total of 5,99,394 doses of COVID-19 vaccines to 5,08,823 persons as on Saturday, said State Immunization Officer Dr Ritu Thurr.
Out of the total doses administered in the State, 60,307 are frontline workers, 15,851 are healthcare professionals, 1,63,212 are people above 45 years and 2,69,453 in the 18 to 44 years age group, he said.

A total of 90,571 beneficiaries have received the second dose of the vaccine completing the full course of vaccination. They comprise 31,496 frontline workers, 11,076 healthcare workers, 47,875 people above 45 years and 124 in the 18 to 44 years age group, said Dr Thurr. (Page News Service)
