KOHIMA, FEBRUARY 9: Nagaland reported 6 fresh cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, pushing the caseload to 12,166 while 3 persons recuperated keeping the active cases at 88, a health official said.
“6 positive cases of COVID-19 have been detected today in Kohima. Also, 3 positive patients have recovered in Dimapur,” said Minister for Health, S Pangnyu Phom.
The caseload includes 11,840 persons who have recovered from the infection, he said.
Altogether 88 persons have died due to COVID-19 in the State, out of which 10 had co-morbid conditions, Director for Health and Family Welfare, Dr Denis Hangsing stated in the daily COVID-19 bulletin.
Another 150 patients have migrated to other states, he said.
Nagaland’s COVID-19 recovery rate stands at 97.32% he informed.
Among the active cases, only 3 patients are with mild and moderate symptoms while 85 persons are asymptomatic, he said.
Meanwhile, 816 persons were vaccinated across Nagaland on Tuesday, according to the Health department.
Till date, 7587 persons have been administered with Covishield vaccine, it informed. No adverse events needing medical intervention have been reported, it added. (Page News Service)
