COVID-19 Nagaland: 6 fresh infections, 12 recoveries

KOHIMA, NOVEMBER 12: Nagaland today reported 6 fresh COVID-19 infections and 12 patients’ recovery with the total of confirmed cases at 31,973.


Positive cases detected include 4 in Kohima district and 3 in Dimapur district, said State Nodal Officer for Integrated Disease Surveillance Project, Dr Nyanthung Kikon in the daily COVID-19 bulletin.
He also said that 12 positive patients ~ Dimapur: 7, Kohima: 3 and Mokokchung & Phek: 1 ~ each recovered during the last 24 hours taking the recovered persons tally to 30,064 with the recovery rate at 94.02%.
There are 167 active patients, of who 20 have mild symptoms, 7 are moderate and 4 severe while 136 patients are asymptomatic, he said.
The death toll in the State stands at 692, of who 16 had co-morbid conditions, he said.
Altogether 1,050 COVID-19 patients have migrated to other States, he said.
Thus far, a total of 4,02,250 suspected COVID-19 samples have been tested in Nagaland. It includes 111,245 on RT-PCR, 87,087 on TrueNat and 2,03,916 on Rapid Antigen Test, Dr Kikon said.
A total of 12,31,548 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to 716,309 persons as on Thursday, said State Immunization Officer Dr Ritu Thurr.
Out of the total doses administered in the State, 60,965 are frontline workers, 15,998 are healthcare professionals, 203,370 are people above 45 years and 435,976 in the 18 to 44 years age group, he said.


A total of 515,239 beneficiaries have received the second dose of the vaccine completing the full course of vaccination. They comprise 48,166 frontline workers, 13,460 healthcare workers, 165,771 people above 45 years and 287,842 in the 18 to 44 years age group, said Dr Thurr.
