Kohima, May 3: Six COVID-19 fatalities were reported in Nagaland on Monday, according to a Health official.
In the daily COVID-19 bulletin, State Nodal Officer for Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme, Dr Nyanthung Kikon informed that all the deaths were in Dimapur. With this, death toll in the State has climbed to 115, of which 10 had co-morbidities, he said.
The State also recorded 101 fresh COVID cases, pushing the tally to 14,451.
“101 positive cases of COVID-19 reported today. Dimapur-77, Kohima-11, Mon-4, Mokokchung- Zunheboto-3 each, Longleng-2, Peren-1. And, 30 positive patients have recovered. Dimapur-26, Mokokchung-3, Kohima-1,” said Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom in a tweet.
The caseload includes 12,352 recovered patients and 1,584 active patients, he said.
The recovery rate in the State has come down to 85.28% from Sunday’s 85.67%, said Dr Nyanthung Kikon.
Among the active patients, 118 are with mild symptoms, 20 though moderate are on oxygen, another 18 are severe on oxygen, 3 critical and 5 are on ventilator while 1,420 are asymptomatic patients, he said.
A total of 427 patients have migrated to other States, he informed.
So far, a total of 1,48,556 suspected COVID-19 samples have been tested in Nagaland. It includes 79,434 on RT-PCR, 38,359 on TrueNat and 30,736 on Rapid Antigen Test, said Kikon. (Page News Service)
