COVID-19 Nagaland: 55 new cases push tally to 13,238


Kohima, April 26: Nagaland on Monday reported 55 new COVID-19 cases taking the State’s tally to 13,238, a health official said.

“55 +ve cases of COVID-19 reported today. Dimapur- 38, Kohima- 9, Mokokchung & Mon- 3 each, Kiphire- Longleng- 1 each. Also 3 +ve patients have recovered. Phek- 2, Tuensang- 1,” said Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom in a tweet.
The caseload includes 12,135 recovered persons while the active patients have shot up to 727, he said.
The recovery rate in the State has come down to 91.67% from Sunday’s 92.02%, said State Nodal Officer for Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme, Dr Nyanthung Kikon in the daily COVID-19 bulletin.
The death toll in the State is 98, including 10 with comorbidities, he said.
Among the active patients, 67 are with mild symptoms, 11 though moderate are on oxygen, 11 are severe on oxygen, and 2 are on ventilator while 636 are asymptomatic patients, he said.

A total of 1,44,236 suspected COVID-19 samples have been tested in Nagaland so far. It includes 77,751 on RT-PCR, 37,934 on TrueNat and 28,541 on Rapid Antigen Test, said Dr Kikon. (Page News Service)
