COVID-19 Nagaland: 50 recoveries, 47 fresh infections

KOHIMA, SEPTEMBER 7: Nagaland detected 47 fresh COVID-19 infections taking the tally to 30,435 while the death of a patient pushed the death toll to 632 on Tuesday.


“47 positive cases detected today are ~ Dimapur: 23, Kohima: 16 Phek: 4, Wokha: 3 and Longleng: 1”, said State Nodal Officer for Integrated Disease Surveillance Project, Dr Nyanthung Kikon in the daily COVID-19 bulletin.
“50 positive patients – Dimapur: 18, Kohima: 14, Mokokchung: 8, Phek: 6, Zunheboto: 2 and Kiphire & Wokha: 1 recovered during the last 24 hours”, he said.
With this the tally of recovered persons has increased to 28,178 while recovery rate is at 92.58%.
There are 709 active patients of whom 127 have mild symptoms, 20 are moderate on oxygen, 19 severe on oxygen, 10 critical in ICU without a ventilator, and 10 on ventilator, while 523 patients are asymptomatic, he said.
Demise of a patient in Dimapur district has put the death toll 632, of which 14 had co-morbid conditions, he said.
Altogether 916 COVID-19 patients have migrated to other States, he said.
A total of 335,439 suspected COVID-19 samples have been tested in Nagaland thus far. It includes 106,650 on RT-PCR, 78,095 on TrueNat, and 150,694 on Rapid Antigen Test, Dr Kikon said.
A total of 887,821 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to 662,929 persons in Nagaland as on Monday, said State Immunization Officer Dr Ritu Thurr.
Out of the total doses administered in the State, 60,854 are frontline workers, 15,993 are healthcare professionals, 193,877 are people above 45 years and 392,205 in the 18 to 44 years age group, he said.


A total of 224,982 beneficiaries have received the second dose of the vaccine completing the full course of vaccination. They comprise 44,837 frontline workers, 12,989 healthcare workers, 117,427 people above 45 years and 49,639 in the 18 to 44 years age group, said Dr Thurr. (Page News Service)
