COVID-19 Nagaland: 5 infections


KOHIMA, MARCH 21: Nagaland on Monday reported 5 fresh infection increasing the number of COVID-19 confirmed cases to 35,466.
The recovered persons’ tally is 33,187 with recovery rate at 93.57%.
There are 37 active patients, of who 1 has mild and moderate symptoms and 1 is severe on oxygen while 35 are asymptomatic.
The death toll in the State is 758, of which 4 died of co-morbid conditions.
Altogether 1,484 COVID-19 patients have migrated to other States.
Thus far, a total of 4,66,502 suspected COVID-19 samples have been tested in Nagaland. It includes 1,17,169 on RT-PCR, 96,233 on TrueNat and 2,53,179 on Rapid Antigen Test.
Meanwhile, the Health Department informed that a total of 15,57,317 doses of COVID vaccines have been administered in the State till March 20.
Of the total doses, including 62 in the age bracket of 12-14 years were inoculated with corBEvax and 90,272 in 15 to 18 age bracket have got Covaxin.
Further, a total of 14,79,983 doses of Covishield vaccines have been administered to 8,18,272 persons during the same period, the official said.
Out of the total doses administered in the State, 61,042 are frontline workers, 16,017 are healthcare workers, 2,21,358 are people above 45 years and 5,19,855 in the 18 to 44 years age group, he said.
A total of 6,37,709 beneficiaries have received the second dose. They comprise 48,922 frontline workers, 13,609 healthcare workers, 1,89,688 people above 45 years and 3,85,490 in the 18 to 44 years age group, he said.
Further, 24,002 people, including 3,499 health care workers, 18,319 frontline workers and 2,184 above 60 years of age with co-morbid conditions, have also been administered with the precautionary dose, he said.
