COVID-19 Nagaland: 44 infections, 75 recoveries

KOHIMA, FEBRUARY 10: Nagaland on Thursday reported 44 fresh infections and 75 recoveries as the COVID-19 tally surged to 35,083.
The fresh infections include Kohima: 21, Dimapur: 18, Peren: 3 and Mokokchung and Tuensang: 1 each.
The recovered persons tally is 32,320 with recovery rate at 92.13%.
The recovered persons for the day are: Dimapur: 58, Kohima: 13 and Mokokchung and Peren: 2 each.
There are 549 active patients in the State, of who 142 have mild and moderate symptoms and 10 are severe while 397 patients are asymptomatic.
With no fatality for the day, the death toll in the State is 749.
Altogether 1,464 COVID-19 patients have migrated to other States.
Thus far, a total of 4,50,240 suspected COVID-19 samples have been tested in Nagaland. It includes 1,15,846 on RT-PCR, 94,781 on TrueNat and 2,39,643 on Rapid Antigen Test.
Meanwhile, the Health Department official informed that 53,133 teenagers in the 15 to 18 age bracket were administered with COVID-19 vaccine till January February 7.
Further, a total of 14,40,705 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to 8,05,663 persons during the same period, said State Immunization Officer Dr RituThurr.
Out of the total doses administered in the State, 61,041 are frontline workers, 16,016 are healthcare workers, 2,19,443 are people above 45 years and 5,09,163 in the 18 to 44 years age group, he said.
A total of 6,18,513 beneficiaries have received the second dose of the vaccine completing the full course of vaccination. They comprise 48,856 frontline workers, 13,602 healthcare workers, 1,85,515 people above 45 years and 3,70,180 in the 18 to 44 years age group, he said.
Further, 16,889 people, including 2,898 health care workers, 12,454 frontline workers and 1,537 above 60 years of age with co-morbid conditions, have also been administered with the precautionary dose, he said.
