COVID-19 Nagaland: 4 new cases reported


DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 4: Out of 190 samples tested on Thursday, 4 returned COVID-19 positive as the caseload in Nagaland reached 12,121.
Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom informed that 3 of the new cases were from Kohima and 1 from Dimapur. All were traced contacts.
The State also recorded 6 recoveries from the infection, taking the tally to 11,821. The number of active cases rose to 63.
Till date, Nagaland has recorded 88 COVID fatalities, out of which 10 have been declared ‘not COVID-related’.
More frontline workers vaccinated
A total of 179 frontline workers received the Covishield vaccine in Nagaland on Thursday. A press release from Health Department informed that vaccination sessions were conducted in four districts: Mokokchung, Peren Wokha and Dimapur.
So far, 6203 persons have been vaccinated in the State. According to the Department, no adverse events that needed medical interventions have been reported yet. (Page News Service)
