COVID-19 Nagaland: 4 infections, 3 recoveries

KOHIMA, DECEMBER 18: Nagaland on Saturday reported 4 fresh infections and 3 recoveries taking the total of confirmed cases to 32,169.
Two fresh infections were reported from Mokokchung and 1 each from Dimapur and Kohima districts today, said State Nodal Officer for Integrated Disease Surveillance Project, Dr Nyanthung Kikon in the daily COVID-19 bulletin.
At least 3 positive patients in Dimapur district recuperated during the day with the recovered persons tally increasing to 30,315 and recovery rate at 94.24%.
There are 84 active patients, of who 16 have mild symptoms and 1 severe while 66 patients are asymptomatic, he said.
With no fresh fatality for the day, the death toll in the State remained at 701, of who 16 had co-morbid conditions, he said.
Altogether 1,069 COVID-19 patients have migrated to other States, he said.
Thus far, a total of 4,19,604 suspected COVID-19 samples have been tested in Nagaland. It includes 111,762 on RT-PCR, 89,567 on TrueNat and 2,18,275 on the Rapid Antigen Test, he said.
A total of 13,27,610 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to 756,904 persons as of Friday, said State Immunization Officer Dr Ritu Thurr.
Out of the total doses administered in the State, 60,983 are frontline workers, 16,004 are healthcare professionals, 213,508 are people above 45 years and 466,409 in the 18 to 44 years age group, he said.
A total of 570,706 beneficiaries have received the second dose of the vaccine completing the full course of vaccination. They comprise 48,601 frontline workers, 13,540 healthcare workers, 177,819 people above 45 years and 330,746 in the 18 to 44 years age group, said Dr Thurr.
