COVID-19 Nagaland: 35 infections, 70 recoveries, 1 death


KOHIMA, FEBRUARY 11: Nagaland on Friday reported 35 fresh infections, 70 recoveries and 1 death as the COVID-19 tally surged to 35,117.
The fresh infections include Dimapur: 22, Kohima: 7, Peren: 3, Mokokchung, Mon & Wokha: 1 each.
The recovered persons tally is 32,370 with recovery rate at 92.23%.
The recovered persons for the day are: Dimapur: 53, Kohima: 14 and Mokokchung: 3.
There are 509 active patients in the State, of who 134 have mild and moderate symptoms and 7 are severe while 368 patients are asymptomatic.
With a patient’s demise in Mokokchung district, the death toll in the State is 750, of which 4 died of co-morbid conditions.
Altogether 1,468 COVID-19 patients have migrated to other States.
Thus far, a total of 4,51,132 suspected COVID-19 samples have been tested in Nagaland. It includes 1,16,002 on RT-PCR, 94,825 on TrueNat and 2,40,305 on Rapid Antigen Test.
Meanwhile, the Health Department official informed that 54,256 teenagers in the 15 to 18 age bracket were administered with COVID-19 vaccine till January February 7.
Further, a total of 14,42,597 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to 8,06,248 persons during the same period, said State Immunization Officer Dr Ritu Thurr.
Out of the total doses administered in the State, 61,041 are frontline workers, 16,016 are healthcare workers, 2,19,495 are people above 45 years and 5,09,696 in the 18 to 44 years age group, he said.
A total of 6,18,689 beneficiaries have received the second dose of the vaccine completing the full course of vaccination. They comprise 48,862 frontline workers, 13,602 healthcare workers, 1,85,620 people above 45 years and 3,70,605 in the 18 to 44 years age group, he said.
Further, 17,660 people, including 2,936 health care workers, 13,084 frontline workers and 1,640 above 60 years of age with co-morbid conditions, have also been administered with the precautionary dose, he said.
