COVID-19 Nagaland: 3 new cases reported; tally rises to 11,978

KOHIMA, JANUARY 10: Nagaland today reported 3 fresh cases of COVID-19 taking the confirmed cases in the State to 11,978.


“3 +ve cases of #COVID-19 have been detected today. Dimapur, Kohima and Mokokchung – 1 each,” Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom said in a tweet.
The caseload includes 11,639 recovered persons and 115 active, he said. No recoveries were reported today.
The recovery rate is unchanged at 97.19% since Saturday as the highest recovery rate, he said.
The death toll of COVID-19 infected patients in the State is 85, of which 74 are due to contagion and 10 had co-morbid conditions while 1 is under investigation, said Director of Health & Family Welfare Dr Denis Hangsing in the daily COVID-19 bulletin on Saturday.
A total of 139 patients have migrated to other states, he said.
The district-wise distribution of confirmed cases is Dimapur – 6,435, Kohima – 3,721, Mon – 604, Peren – 504, Tuensang – 244, Mokokchung – 182, Zunheboto – 142, Phek – 47, Kiphire – 41, Wokha – 39 and Longleng – 19.
Out of the confirmed cases, 4,908 are Traced Contacts, 4,658 are Armed Forces personnel, 1,844 are returnees from other states and 568 are frontline workers, he said.
The district-wise active cases are Dimapur – 65, Kohima – 32, Mokokchung – 10, Peren – 5, Mon – 1, Longleng – 1 and Kiphire – 1.
Among the active cases, 17 patients are with mild and moderate symptoms, 1 is severe on oxygen and 4 are on ventilators, he said. Altogether 93 persons are asymptomatic, he said.
The recovered persons are Dimapur – 6,240, Kohima – 3,633, Mon – 592, Peren – 499, Tuensang – 243, Zunheboto – 139, Mokokchung – 163, Phek – 47, Kiphire – 39, Wokha – 35 and Longleng – 9.
Nagaland has tested a total of 1,21,851 suspected COVID-19 samples till date, including 72,687 through RT-PCR, 36,846 on TrueNat and 12,318 on Rapid Antigen Test, said health officials.
