Kohima, May 11: Detection of 269 fresh COVID-19 infections on Tuesday has taken the caseload in Nagaland to 16,552, while 6 fatalities pushed the death toll to 156.
“269 positive cases of COVID-19 reported today. Dimapur- 207, Kohima- 40, Tuensang- 8, Mokokchung- Mon- 4 each, Phek- 3, Longleng- Zunheboto- Peren- 1 each. 45 positive patients have recovered. Dimapur- 31, Kohima- 10, Longleng- 4,” said Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom in a tweet.
The caseload includes 12,779 recovered patients and 3,081 active patients, he said.
The recovery rate in the State has decreased to 77.2 percent Monday’s 78.2 percent.
Out of the active patients, 146 are with mild symptoms, 94 are moderate on oxygen, 24 severe on oxygen, 4 in ICU and 10 on ventilator, said State Nodal Officer Dr Nyanthung Kikon in the daily COVID-19 bulletin.
Demise of 6 positive patients in Dimapur district took the death toll in the State to 156, out of which 11 had co-morbid conditions, he said.
A total of 536 patients have migrated to other States, he said.
So far, a total of 1,66,895 suspected COVID-19 samples have been tested in Nagaland. It includes 82,090 on RT-PCR, 50,732 on TrueNat and 34,073 on Rapid Antigen Test, he said. (Page News Service)
