
Kohima, April 16: Nagaland reported 22 fresh COVID-19 infections pushing the tally of confirmed cases to 12,504, a health official said on Friday.
“22 +ve cases of COVID-19 reported today. Dimapur- 15, Kohima- 4, Mokokchung- 2, Longleng- 1. And, 2 +ve patients have recovered. Dimapur- Kohima- 1 each,” said Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom in a tweet.
The caseload includes 12,102 recovered persons and 139 active patients, he said.
Among the active patients, 14 are with mild and moderate symptoms while 125 are asymptomatic patients, he said.
Vaccination: Nagaland has administered a total of 1,41,220 doses of covishield to 1,09,176 persons as on Thursday, said State Immunization Officer Dr Ritu Thurr.
Out of the total doses administered in the State 42,002 are frontline workers, 13,140 are healthcare professionals, 29,017 senior citizens and 25,017 people above 45 years with specified comorbidities, he said.
Among those inoculated 20,701 frontline workers, 9,022 healthcare workers, 1,580 senior citizens and 741 persons above 45 years with comorbidities have received the second shots of COVID-19 vaccine completing the full course of vaccination, said Dr Thurr. (Page News Service)
