COVID-19 Nagaland: 22 fresh cases take tally to 12,148


KOHIMA, FEBRUARY 6: Detection of 22 fresh infections on Saturday pushed Nagaland’s COVID-19 tally of confirmed cases to 12,148, a health official said.

“22 positive cases of COVID-19 have been detected today in Kohima. Also, 5 positive patients have recovered. Dimapur- 4, Kohima- 1,” said Minister for Health, S Pangnyu Phom in a tweet.
The caseload includes 11,826 recovered persons and 85 active patients, he said.
Altogether 88 persons have died due to COVID-19 in the State, out of which 10 had co-morbid conditions, Director of Health and Family Welfare, Dr Denis Hangsing, said in the daily COVID-19 bulletin.
Another 149 patients have migrated to other states, he said.
Nagaland’s COVID-19 recovery rate is at 97.34%, he added.
The district wise distribution of confirmed cases are Dimapur (6,474), Kohima (3,834), Mon (605), Peren (507), Tuensang (248), Mokokchung (192), Zunheboto (142), Phek (47), Kiphire (41), Wokha (39) and Longleng (19).
Out of the confirmed cases, 5,031 are traced contacts, 4,674 are armed forces personnel, 1,870 returnees from other States and 573 frontline workers, he said.
The district wise active cases are Kohima (58), Dimapur (24), Peren (2) and Tuensang (1).
Among the active cases, 6 patients are with mild and moderate symptoms while 79 persons are asymptomatic, he said. (Page News Service)
