COVID-19 Nagaland: 2 infections, 3 recoveries

KOHIMA, DECEMBER 7: Nagaland on Tuesday reported 2 fresh infections and 3 recoveries taking the total of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 32,142.


All the infections and recoveries were reported from Dimapur district only for the second consecutive day, said State Nodal Officer for Integrated Disease Surveillance Project, Dr Nyanthung Kikon in the daily COVID-19 bulletin.
The recovered persons tally to 30,259 with recovery rate at 94.14%.
There are 118 active patients, of who 17 have mild symptoms and 4 severe while 97 patients are asymptomatic, he said.
With no fatality for the 3rd day, the death toll in the State is at 699, of who 16 had co-morbid conditions, he said.
Altogether 1,066 COVID-19 patients have migrated to other States, he said.
Thus far, a total of 4,14,390 suspected COVID-19 samples have been tested in Nagaland. It includes 111,620 on RT-PCR, 88,982 on TrueNat and 2,13,788 on the Rapid Antigen Test, he said.
A total of 13,02,309 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to 746,328 persons as of Monday, said State Immunization Officer Dr Ritu Thurr.
Out of the total doses administered in the State, 60,982 are frontline workers, 15,999 are healthcare professionals, 210,998 are people above 45 years and 455,926 in the 18 to 44 years age group, he said.


A total of 555,981 beneficiaries have received the second dose of the vaccine completing the full course of vaccination. They comprise 48,555 frontline workers, 13,521 healthcare workers, 174,615 people above 45 years and 319,290 in the 18 to 44 years age group, said Dr Thurr. (Page News Service)
