Kohima, April 29: Detection of 181 fresh COVID-19 infections has pushed Nagaland’s tally to 13,750 today.
“181 +ve cases of COVID-19 reported today. Dimapur- 132, Kohima- 42, Mokokchung- 3 and one each in Kiphire, Mon, Phek and Zunheboto districts,” said State Nodal Officer for Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme, Dr Nyanthung Kikon in the daily COVID-19 bulletin.
Also, 29 +ve patients have recovered. 17 in Kohima and 12 in DImapur improving the recovered patients tally to 12,212, he said.
The caseload includes 1,072 active patients, he said.
The recovery rate in the State has come down to 88.81% from Wednesday’s 89.79%, he said.
Among the active patients, 68 are with mild symptoms, 12 though moderate are on oxygen, 17 are severe on oxygen and two are on ventilator while 973 are asymptomatic patients, he said.
The death toll in the State is 101, including 10 with comorbidities and one under investigation to establish the cause, he said.
A total of 1,46,190 suspected COVID-19 samples have been tested in Nagaland so far. It includes 78,487 on RT-PCR, 38,143 on TrueNat and 29,560 on Rapid Antigen Test, Dr Kikon said.
Notably, after Dimapur district, Kohima district task force on COVID-19 has commenced the random COVID-19 sample collection process for testing from selected locations.
An official release on Thursday said, the random exercise started Wednesday.
A total of 57 samples have been collected for testing within these two day exercise, sources said.
Meanwhile, Nagaland has administered a total of 1,97,549 doses of COVID-19 vaccines to 1,56,890 persons as on Wednesday, said State Immunization Officer Dr Ritu Thurr.
