KOHIMA, OCTOBER 23: Nagaland today detected 18 fresh COVID-19 cases pushing the tally of confirmed cases to 31,707 while death toll increased to 679.
Positive cases detected today include 7 each at Dimapur and Kohima and 4 in Phek district, said State Nodal Officer for Integrated Disease Surveillance Project, Dr Nyanthung Kikon in the daily COVID-19 bulletin.
He also said that 10 positive patients ~ Mokokchung: 6, Dimapur: 3, and Kohima: 1 ~ recovered during the last 24 hours taking the recovered persons tally to 29,78 with the recovery rate at 93.82%.
There are 250 active patients, of who 48 have mild symptoms, 7 are moderate and 7 severe while 188 patients are asymptomatic, he said.
Demise of a positive patient in Dimapur district increased the death toll in the State at 679, of which 15 had co-morbid conditions, he said.
Altogether 1,030 COVID-19 patients have migrated to other States, he said.
Thus far, a total of 390,454 suspected COVID-19 samples have been tested in Nagaland. It includes 110,652 on RT-PCR, 85,223 on TrueNat and 194,579 on Rapid Antigen Test, Dr Kikon said.
A total of 11,70,957 doses of COVID-19 vaccines to 704,836 persons as on Friday, said State Immunization Officer Dr Ritu Thurr.
Out of the total doses administered in the State, 60,957 are frontline workers, 15,998 are healthcare professionals, 201,339 are people above 45 years and 427,328 in the 18 to 44 years age group, he said.
A total of 465,335 beneficiaries have received the second dose of the vaccine completing the full course of vaccination. They comprise 47,815 frontline workers, 13,360 healthcare workers, 155,025 people above 45 years and 248,135 in the 18 to 44 years age group, said Dr Thurr.
