
KOHIMA, OCTOBER 18: Nagaland’s COVID-19 confirmed cases increased to 31,627 with detection of 16 positive cases with death toll at 675 on Monday, a health official said.
“16 positive cases detected today are – Dimapur: 10, Mokokchung: 4 and Kohima & Mon: 1 each”, said State Nodal Officer for Integrated Disease Surveillance Project, Dr Nyanthung Kikon in the daily COVID-19 bulletin.
He also said that 9 positive patients ~ Dimapur: 6 and Kohima: 3 ~ recovered during the last 24 hours taking the recovered persons tally to 29,676 with the recovery rate at 93.21%.
There are 252 active patients, of who 43 have mild symptoms, 6 are moderate and 12 severe while 191 patients are asymptomatic, he said.
Demise of a positive patient in Mon district has increased the death toll in the State at 675, of which 15 had co-morbid conditions, he said.
Altogether 1,024 COVID-19 patients have migrated to other States, he said.
Thus far, a total of 386,994 suspected COVID-19 samples have been tested in Nagaland. It includes 110,488 on RT-PCR, 84,704 on TrueNat and 191,802 on Rapid Antigen Test, Dr Kikon said.
A total of 11,39,339 doses of COVID-19 vaccines to 701,383 persons as on Sunday, said State Immunization Officer Dr Ritu Thurr.
Out of the total doses administered in the State, 60,945 are frontline workers, 15,998 are healthcare professionals, 200,667 are people above 45 years and 423,773 in the 18 to 44 years age group, he said.
A total of 437,856 beneficiaries have received the second dose of the vaccine completing the full course of vaccination. They comprise 47,716 frontline workers, 13,331 healthcare workers, 151,157 people above 45 years and 225,652 in the 18 to 44 years age group, said Dr Thurr.
