KOHIMA, JUNE 20: Nagaland today reported more COVID-19 recoveries than fresh infection for the 15th consecutive day with confirmed cases standing at 24,248.
“57 positive cases detected today are Kohima (23), Mokokchung (10), Phek (8), Longleng (6), Wokha (4), Peren (3) and Mon, Tuensang & Zunheboto (1 each)”, said State Nodal Officer for Integrated Disease Surveillance Project Dr Nyanthung Kikon in the daily COVID-19 bulletin.
He said that 143 positive patients: Mokokchung – 48, Dimapur & Kohima – 40 each, Mon – 6, Phek – 5, Wokha – 3 and Tuensang- 1, recovered during the day taking the number of recovered patients to 21,201.
This has improved the recovery rate to 87.43% from Saturday’s 87.05%.
Active patients in the State now stand at 1,890, he said.
Of the active patients, 191 are with mild symptoms, 45 are moderate on oxygen, 19 severe on oxygen, 12 critical in ICU without ventilator and 4 on ventilator, while 1,619 patients are asymptomatic, he said.
Demise of a positive patient in Tuensang district has increased the death toll in the State to 469, of which 14 are related to other diseases, he said.
As on Saturday, Nagaland administered a total of 4,02,778 doses of COVID-19 vaccines to 3,47,415 persons, said State Immunization Officer Dr Ritu Thurr.
