Kohima, April 28: Nagaland’s COVID-19 tally increased to 13,569 with the detection of 124 fresh infections on Wednesday, a Health official said.
“124 positive cases of COVID-19 reported today. Dimapur-107, Kohima-11, Mokokchung-3, Mon-2, Tuensang-1. And, 32 positive patients have recovered. Kohima-29, Longleng-3,” said Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom in a tweet.
The caseload includes 12,183 recovered persons while the active patients are 952, he said.
The recovery rate in the State has come down to 89.79 percent from Tuesday’s 90.37 percent, said State Nodal Officer for Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme, Dr Nyanthung Kikon in the daily COVID-19 bulletin.
Demise of a patient each in Dimapur and Kohima has increased the death toll in the State to 101, including 10 with co-morbidities and one under investigation to establish the cause, he said.
Among the active patients, 49 are with mild symptoms, 23 though moderate are on oxygen, 7 severe on oxygen, 3 on ventilator while 870 are asymptomatic patients, he said.
A total of 1,45,547 suspected COVID-19 samples have been tested in Nagaland so far. It includes 78,230 on RT-PCR, 38,107 on TrueNat and 29,210 on Rapid Antigen Test, said Dr Kikon.
