COVID-19 Nagaland: 121 infections, 69 recoveries

KOHIMA, JANUARY 22: Nagaland on Saturday reported 121 fresh infections and 69 recoveries as the tally of confirmed COVID-19 cases surged to 33,478.
The fresh infections include Dimapur: 91, Kohima: 18, Peren: 8 and Wokha: 4.
The recovered persons tally is 30,808 with recovery rate at 92.02%. The recovered persons for the day are: Dimapur: 57, Kohima: 10 and Peren: 2.
There are 642 active patients in the State, of who 63 have mild and moderate symptoms and 1 is severe while 578 patients are asymptomatic.
The death toll in the State is 705, of which 16 had co-morbid conditions.
Altogether 1,323 COVID-19 patients have migrated to other States.
Thus far, a total of 4,37,654 suspected COVID-19 samples have been tested in Nagaland. It includes 1,14,085 on RT-PCR, 92,826 on TrueNat and 2,30,743 on Rapid Antigen Test.
Meanwhile, the Health Department official informed that 38,461 teenagers in the 15 to 18 age bracket were administered with COVID-19 vaccine till January 21.
Further, a total of 13,94,498 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to 790,218 persons during the same period, said State Immunization Officer Dr RituThurr.
Out of the total doses administered in the State, 61,017 are frontline workers, 16,008 are healthcare workers, 217,284 are people above 45 years and 495,909 in the 18 to 44 years age group, he said.
A total of 6,04,280 beneficiaries have received the second dose of the vaccine completing the full course of vaccination. They comprise 48,775 frontline workers, 13,591 healthcare workers, 183,060 people above 45 years and 358,854 in the 18 to 44 years age group, said Dr Thurr.
Further, 8,731 people, including 1,777 health care workers, 6,158 frontline workers and 796 above 60 years of age with co-morbidities, have also been administered with the precautionary dose, he said.
