
KOHIMA, AUGUST 6: Nagaland today detected 110 fresh COVID-19 infections increasing the tally to 28,445.
“110 positive cases detected today are Peren: 33, Kohima: 26, Dimapur: 21, Longleng: 10, Mokokchung: 9, Zunheboto: 5, Tuensang: 3 and Kiphire, Mon and Wokha: 1”, said State Nodal Officer for Integrated Disease Surveillance Project, Dr Nyanthung Kikon in the daily COVID-19 bulletin.
He also said that 79 positive patients ~ Kohima: 42, Dimapur: 10, Mokokchung: 11, Wokha: 6, Kiphire: 4 Longleng & Peren: 3 each ~ recovered during the day increasing the number of recovered persons to 25,682 persons.
The recovery rate in the State is 90.28%.
There are 1,370 active patients of which 217 are with mild symptoms, 27 are moderate on oxygen, 14 severe on oxygen, 7 critical in ICU without ventilator, and 7 on ventilator, while 1,098 patients are asymptomatic, he said.
Demise of a positive patient in Peren district has increased the death toll in the State to 582, of which 14 patients had co-morbid conditions, he said.
Altogether 811 COVID-19 patients have migrated to other States, he said.
So far, a total of 274,036 suspected COVID-19 samples have been tested in Nagaland. It includes 103,865 on RT-PCR, 69,397 on TrueNat, and 100,774 on Rapid Antigen Test, said Dr Kikon.
Nagaland administered a total of 784,436 doses of COVID-19 vaccines to 627,615 persons as on Thursday, said State Immunization Officer Dr Ritu Thurr.
Out of the total doses administered in the State, 60,827 are frontline workers, 15,977 are healthcare professionals, 187,331 are people above 45 years and 363,615 in the 18 to 44 years age group, he said.
A total of 156,686 beneficiaries have received the second dose of the vaccine completing the full course of vaccination. They comprise 40,571 frontline workers, 12,573 healthcare workers, 103,156 people above 45 years and 386 in the 18 to 44 years age group, said Dr Thurr.
