COVID-19 Nagaland: 11 new cases take tally to 12,376


Kohima, April 7: Nagaland today reported 11 fresh COVID-19 cases taking the State’s tally to 12,376.
“11 +ve cases of COVID-19 reported today, Kohima – 6, Dimapur – 5. Also, 2 +ve patients have recovered in Kohima,” said Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom in a tweet.

The caseload includes 11,982 recovered persons and 142 active patients, he said.
The recovery rate has come down to 96.81% from Tuesday’s 96.9%, said Director of Health Department, Dr Denis Hangsing in the daily COVID-19 bulletin.
Of the active cases 4 in Dimapur are with mild symptoms, while 127 in Kohima, 9 in Dimapur and 2 in Tuensang district are asymptomatic, he said.
Vaccination: Nagaland has administered 93,707 doses of COVID-19 vaccines (covishield) to 71,515 persons as on Tuesday, said State Immunization Officer Dr Ritu Thurr.
Out of the total doses administered in the State 38,518 are frontline workers, 12,293 are healthcare professionals, 13,843 senior citizens and 6,861 people above 45 years with specified comorbidities, he said.
Among those inoculated, no one has had any adverse effect needing medical interventions in the state till date, Dr Thurr said.
