COVID-19 Nagaland: 10 infections, 6 recoveries, 1 death

KOHIMA, NOVEMBER 22: Nagaland reported 10 fresh cases, 6 recoveries and death of a positive patient amid the COVID-19 tally increasing to 32,060.


Nine positive cases were detected in Dimapur and 1 in Kohima districts, said State Nodal Officer for Integrated Disease Surveillance Project, Dr Nyanthung Kikon in the daily COVID-19 bulletin.
At least 6 positive patients ~ Dimapur: 4 and Kiphire & Mokokchung: 1 each ~ recovered during the last 24 hours taking the recovered persons tally to 30,179 with the recovery rate at 94.13%, he said.
There are 128 active patients, of whm 20 have mild symptoms, 3 are moderate and 5 severe while 100 patients are asymptomatic, he said.
Demise of a positive patient in Dimapur district increased the death toll in the State to at 696, of whom 16 had co-morbid conditions, he said.
Altogether 1,057 COVID-19 patients have migrated to other States, he said.
Thus far, a total of 4,07,064 suspected COVID-19 samples have been tested in Nagaland. It includes 111,425 on RT-PCR, 87,952 on TrueNat and 2,07,687 on Rapid Antigen Test, he said.
A total of 12,57,217 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to 726,001 persons as on Sunday, said State Immunization Officer Dr Ritu Thurr.
Out of the total doses administered in the State, 60,976 are frontline workers, 15,999 are healthcare professionals, 205,855 are people above 45 years and 443,171 in the 18 to 44 years age group, he said.


A total of 531,216 beneficiaries have received the second dose of the vaccine completing the full course of vaccination. They comprise 48,297 frontline workers, 13,476 healthcare workers, 169,212 people above 45 years and 300,231 in the 18 to 44 years age group, said Dr Thurr. (Page News Service)
