COVID-19 Nagaland: 10 infections & 5 recoveries

Kohima, March 7: Nagaland on Monday reported 10 fresh infections and 5 recoveries as the number of COVID-19 confirmed cases increased to 35,430.
Five infections were detected from Dimapur district, 2 each from Kohima & Mokokchung districts and one from Kiphire district.
The recovered persons tally is 33,129 with recovery rate at 93.50%.
The recovered persons for the day are: Dimapur: 3 and Kohima & Wokha: 1 each.
There are 62 active patients, of which five have mild and moderate symptoms while 57 are asymptomatic.
The death toll in the State is 757, of which 4 died of comorbid conditions.
Altogether 1,482 COVID-19 patients have migrated to other states.
Thus far, a total of 4,61,939 suspected COVID-19 samples have been tested in Nagaland. It includes 1,16,958 on RT-PCR, 95,919 on TrueNat and 2,49,059 on Rapid Antigen Test.
Meanwhile, the health department official informed that 85,587 teenagers in the 15 to 18 age bracket were administered with COVID-19 vaccine till March 6.
Further, a total of 14,72,016 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to 8,16,226 persons during the same period, he said.
Out of the total doses administered in the State, 61,041 are frontline workers, 16,017 are healthcare workers, 2,20,999 are people above 45 years and 5,18,169 in the 18 to 44 years age group, he said.
A total of 6,32,895 beneficiaries have received the second dose of the vaccine completing the full course of vaccination. They comprise 48,920 frontline workers, 13,606 healthcare workers, 1,88,717 people above 45 years and 3,81,652 in the 18 to 44 years age group, he said.
Further, 22,895 people, including 3,418 health care workers, 17,400 frontline workers and 2,077 above 60 years of age with comorbid conditions, have also been administered with the precautionary dose, he said. (Page News Service)
