COVID-19 Nagaland: 1 new case takes tally to 12,192


Kohima, February 21: After two consecutive days of nil positive cases, Nagaland on Sunday reported one new case of COVID-19 taking the tally to 12,192, while six patients have recovered bringing down the active cases to 13, a health official said.

“1 +ve case of #COVID-19 reported today at Kohima. 6 +ve patients have recovered in Kohima,” said Minister for Health, S Pangnyu Phom in a tweet.
Of the caseload, 11,936 patients have recuperated, taking the recovery rate in the State to an all time high of 97.90% from Friday’s 97.85%, said Director of Health & Family Welfare, Dr Denis Hangsing in the daily COVID-19 bulletin.
So far 91 persons have succumbed to the infection while 10 had comorbid conditions, he said while 152 patients have migrated to other states.
The district wise active cases are Kohima (11) and Dimapur (2).
Among the active cases a patient in Dimapur is with mild symptoms while 11 persons are asymptomatic, he said.
The number of recovered persons are: Dimapur – 6,338, Kohima – 3,798, Mon – 594, Peren – 506, Tuensang – 246, Mokokchung – 183, Zunheboto – 139, Phek – 47, Kiphire – 40, Wokha – 35 and Longleng – 10.
Nagaland has so far tested a total of 1,29,164 suspected COVID-19 samples, including 74,609 on RT-PCR, 37,305 on TrueNat and 17,250 on Rapid Antigen Test, Dr Hangsing said. (Page News Service)
