COVD-19 Nagaland: Tally at 11,676

KOHIMA, DECEMBER 12: Detection of 42 fresh infections has increased the confirmed cases in Nagaland to 11,676 while 64 patients recuperated keeping the active cases at 607, said state health officials.


“42+ve cases of # COVID-19 have been detected today. Dimapur – 19, Kohima -10, Kiphire – 7, Mokokchung – 4, Peren – 2. Also, 64+ve patients have recovered. Tuensang – 31, Dimapur – 22, Kohima – 11,” Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom said in a tweet.
Among the confirmed cases includes 10,876 recovered patients, he said.
The recovery rate in the State has improved to 93.15% from Friday’s 92.93%, said Dr Denis Hangsing in the daily COVID-19 bulletin.
Altogether 71 COVID-19 infected patients have died in the State, of which 61 are due to contagion, 7 had co-morbidities and deaths of 3 patients is under investigation, he said.
Altogether 122 patients have migrated to other states, he said.
The district-wise distribution of confirmed cases are Dimapur (6,331), Kohima (3,604), Mon 600, Peren (494), Tuensang (238), Zunheboto (142), Mokokchung (127), Phek (44), Kiphire (39), Wokha (39) and Longleng (18).
Out of the confirmed cases, 4,667 are Traced Contacts, 4,635 armed forces personnel, 1,816 returnees from other States and 558 frontline workers, he said.
The district-wise active cases are Kohima (354), Dimapur (182), Tuensang (11), Peren (21), Kiphire (14), Mon (10), Wokha (7), Mokokchung (6) and Zunheboto (2).
Among the active, 37 patients are with mild and moderate symptoms, 1 is severe on oxygen and 6 are critical in ICU, he said. Altogether 565 persons are asymptomatic, he said.
The recovered persons are Dimapur (6,032), Kohima (3,208), Mon (579), Peren (473), Tuensang (226), Zunheboto (137), Mokokchung (116), Phek (44), Wokha (28), Kiphire (24) and Longleng (9).
So far, a total of 1,16,685 suspected COVID-19 samples have been tested in Nagaland, including 71,086 through RT-PCR, 36,293 on TrueNat and 9,306 on Rapid Antigen Test, said Dr Hangsing.
