Dimapur, November 30: Goa humiliated Nagaland by an inning and 230 runs inside two days at the ongoing Cooch Behar Trophy 2019-20 being played at Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Sovima.
Resuming from its overnight score of 349/6, Goa were bowled out for 390 in 92.5 overs with Mohit top scoring with 119. For Nagaland, Arjun took 4 wickers and Hopongkyu – 3 wickets.
Coming out to bat, Nagaland batsmen could not negotiate the pace of Goa bowlers Shubham (5 wkts) and Harsh (4 wkts) who between them took 9 wickets to bowl Nagaland out for a cheap 52 in 18.1 overs. For Nagaland, Afzal top scored with 14.
Needing 338 runs to avoid a humiliating inning defeat at home, Nagaland batsmen again were undone by lack of technique and temperament as Harsh and Mohit again wrecked havoc to bowled Nagaland out for 108 runs in 44.2 overs to win the match by an inning and 230 runs. Harsh and Mohit took 4 wickets apiece in the second inning.
Nagaland next match in the Cooch Behar Trophy is against Arunachal from December 6 to 9 at Golaghat.
