Convention on pension scheme held at Kohima

Dimapur, April 26: A convention was held today at CANSSEA office with more than 200 employees of various departments of the State Government on issues related to the new pension scheme.
Guest speaker in the convention, president of National Movement for Old Pension Scheme Delhi, Dr Manjeet Singh called upon Nagaland new pension scheme employees to get involved in the national movement for old pension scheme. Patel stated that though Central Government formed a committee with members from finance ministry on april 6, 2023 to review NPS but there is no members from parliament or affected party members. “So how can justice be made with sufferers,” he said.
CANSSEA president, Dr Ilang raised question about approximately Rs 4000 crore of NPS employees, which is not showing in NSDL and whether it has been deducted from 30000 employees as well as State Government contribution.
In the convention, Moa as president and Asen as general secretary were given the responsibilities to fight for old pension scheme restoration for Nagaland employees welfare, informed a release issued by NMOPS Delhi.
Many employees also gave consent to vote for old pension supporter party in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2024 in Nagaland, the release informed.
