Continue to be agents of change, says Zhaleo


Dimapur, June 1: Close on the heels of a stupefying Lok Sabha win by the PDA who have endorsed “Change is coming”, Zhaleo Rio, Dy. Speaker, NLA, has challenged leaders to exemplify true agents of change in deeds. He was addressing a group of leaders at his residence on June 1 who had promptly called on him in regard to the by-poll results of Lok Sabha which was declared on May 31.
Rio, who was all praise for party men, conveyed his sincere gratitude to all electorates of Nagaland, “especially my constituency, 5 Ghaspani II A/C as also Dimapur district” for the overwhelming support rendered in the just concluded Lok Sabha by-election.
“The victory has been achieved under arduous supervision of abled NDPP party workers at all levels in creating another record of being the highest percentage of votes cast and votes secured in Dimapur district thereby giving the PDA candidate a thumping win over rival NPF candidate,” he said while urging that leaders have to work as servants “for the welfare of people in order to pave way for change to develop and progress.”
The gathered leaders later assured their utmost service under the PDA government led by Neiphiu Rio as leader of the house. (Page News Service)
