Dimapur, January 11: Much awaiting to install a quality expectation, the construction of Kiruphema football ground is underway with the concern of Kiruphema General Council (KGC) to provide basic and quality sports infrastructure and stressed on the requirement of a proper foundation at the grassroots.
The ongoing development is under construction with the support and initiative of M Venkateswara Rao, General Manager of M/s Gayatri Projects limited with free of cost to promote the youngsters and the village in particular which is under the district of state capital Kohima, Rao also assured to complete the ground leveling by February 2021 with all required machineries and urged the villagers to cooperate with 4 lane construction which is in hectic preparation under the village jurisdiction.
Thepfüyiengu Vielie, chairman KGC assured that the new facilities will soon be added to the football ground once the ground construction is complete.
Expecting to help many different organizations, from League clubs to schools and universities, convener construction committee, Kuobou Mezhünyü also talked on partnering with football schools and get an opportunity in the near future.
KGC also acknowledged M/s Gayatri Projects limited for making the project a reality and expressed hope that through the new football ground, many notable sportsmen and women will rise and bring laurels to the community and the village.
