KOHIMA, MARCH 7: Usually the projected Chief Minister goes to the Raj Bhavan to stake claim for formation of the Government, and that could be the constitutional protocol.
But for Nagaland, this time, the caretaker Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, who was projected as the CM for the coalition of NDPP and BJP, didn’t go to the Governor to stake claim for formation of the Government. It was his lieutenants and BJP president Temjen Imna Along, who went to Raj Bhavan to stake claim for formation of the NDPP-BJP coalition Government.
The NDPP was reportedly represented by remote controlled party president, Chingwang Konyak and his close confident and Secretary General Abu Metha.
The BJP was represented by Nalin Kohli, Convenor, National Media Cell and in-charge of Nagaland, Temjen and another senior party leader Ranjit Das.
