
Dimapur, September 10: Road Safety Cell of Kohima Traffic Police carried out a Community Outreach Programme on Saturday at Ward 17 Panchayat Hall.
A press release informed that the programme was attended by members from Upper Agri Colony and Electrical Colony.
K Soriso, Addl. SP (Traffic & Protocol), gave an overview of road traffic accidents in India and stated that main cause of road accidents is due to human errors and laxity on the part of road users and drivers.
Manom Wallim, Dy. SP (Traffic), also spoke on the topic “Motor Vehicles (Driving) Regulations 2017” and stressed that many are not aware of driving rules and have lots of misconceptions in terms of following the rules while Imsuwati Jamir I/C, Road Safety Cell, highlighted some important sections of the Motor Vehicles Act.
