Combined Integrated Programme for IIT-JEE/NEET/AIMMS launched


Dimapur, August 10: For the first time in Nagaland, a Combined Integrated Program for IIT-JEE/ NEET/ AIMMS was launched for the Senior Secondary Science students at Livingstone Foundation Hr. Sec. School today. The brief programme was attended by the Chairman of LFHSS, Andrew Ahoto who, while introducing the new faculty members of the Program, exhorted the gathering of students and teachers by dwelling on the need and importance of such a Combined Integrated Program in Nagaland where the students aspire to join prestigious IITs and Medical Colleges in India but do not have a proper guidance and resources to build up their career in the right direction for securing the cut-off marks to gain entry in to such institutions.
According to him, this was a major path breaker in the area of career building for the Naga students as usually for cracking the JEE and NEET they spend lots of money to join expensive and extravagant Coaching Centre’s in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, etc. where they have to face lots of other issues including discrimination and security issues especially for girls besides unnecessary expenditures incurred while travelling to and from Nagaland.
The Integrated Program on Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics will be carried out initially for students of Grades-XI and XII Science in an intensive manner during all class days for 3 hours after the normal classes gets over. Later on there are plans to provide the Integrated Program to the students of Grades-IX and X also in a phased manner so that they would also keep themselves abreast with the nuances of various competitive examinations early on in their career.
The team of faculty members includes Dr. Aditya Kumar Gupta (Biology Faculty), M.Sc. Bio-Tech, M.Phil Bio-Tech, Ph.D. Life Sciences (Agra University), GATE, SLET qualified; Mridul Rabha (Chemistry Faculty), B.Tech, M.Tech (IIT Kharagpur); Jainendra Nath Sinha (Physics Faculty), M.Sc. (Physics) from SIET and Rahul Kumar Jha (Mathematics Faculty) B.Tech & M.Tech (Chemical Engineering) from IIT Gandhinagar. These well trained and professional faculty members have already proven their acumen and prowess in the field of providing career solutions for Science students and have successfully brought forth many JEE and NEET toppers. Under their able guidance, a student even secured 14th Rank in NEET thus gaining admission in one of the prestigious Medical Colleges. They have been associated with Top Educational and Career Development Firms like AAKASH, FIITJEE, etc. Interacting with the students during the programme, the faculty members opined that Nagaland is an ocean of young and skilled learners who are steadily rising up in the arena of national competition and that with the right kind of guidance they could be top achievers at the national and even international level.
According to the faculty members, they were confident enough of providing the best platform to the upcoming students of the Science Stream to make them achieve what their predecessors had only dreamt of.
