Dimapur, August 17: Dimapur based college’s students has condemned the statement issued by the Jotsoma Village Council (JVC) who it claimed had “directly or indirectly” threatened the president of All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) and has hurt the sentiments of the students community.
“We the students will not remain silent if anything/any damages that may prevail or caused to the President of ANCSU and his executive members,” said a joint statement from 13 Dimapur based college students’ unions.
“The students seeks clarification on why the President of ANCSU is namely mentioned on this matter as he speaks on behalf of the students community,” it said.
Appealing to the civil societies and different organizations to come out and support the cause of students’ welfare, the statement declared to support any action to be initiated by the office of the ANCSU.
