CNSA appeals to Naga groups

Dimapur, October 28: The CNSA has strongly supported the ongoing political dialogue and appealed to all the negotiating groups to understand the sentiments of the people and their desire and cry for early and amicable solution for peace and progress of our nation.
In its emergency consultative meeting held on October 25 with its advisors, senior leaders and the Central Nagaland Tribes Council (CNTC) that thoroughly deliberated the Indo Naga political issue and the ongoing political dialogue between the Government of India and various political groups, the CNSA reminded the negotiators to uphold the principles of mutual respect and honour the framework agreement and the preamble signed with NSCN (IM) and the working committee of the 7 NNPGs while working towards an honourable, acceptable and inclusive settlement for the benefit of both the Indian Union and the Naga people.
The CNSA also acknowledged the government of India for recognizing the peculiar identity of the Nagas and for giving assurance for an early solution.
Meanwhile, the CNSA sincerely appealed to all the people to uphold and pray for the negotiators to enable them to resolve the protracted issue at the earliest. (Page News Service)
