Dimapur, September 13: The Confederation of Nagaland Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CNCCI) will impose state wide business closure on September 16 in support of the “shutter down” called by DCCI against multiple taxation by NPGs and Government agencies.
The CNCCI will also protest against the non-response to representation submitted to the Chief Secretary, Government of Nagaland demanding to immediately resolve multiple taxation by NPGs; removal of all forms of tax/fees collected by Civic bodies on items that comes under GST regime, which has subsumed all taxes under “One Nation One Tax”; immediate implementation of SARFAESI Act; and ‘Reserve Nominee Representation’ to Municipal town and Ad-hoc Town Council from business and trade bodies.
It said in the event of non-response from the state Government even after one day business closure, the CNCCI would step-up its agitation. It also sought support and cooperation from the public.
